Differences in the Places We Have Visited

On this trip we are going to many places around the world, so what are some differences and why did we choose these countries!

Our first few destinations are Aruba, London, Paris, and Barcelona. We are in Paris after having a great time in London. Ok, so one big difference is where these places are. Aruba is close to the equator. Paris, Barcelona, and London are up in Europe. I like that these places are different because it would not be fun to travel around one area for a whole year.

One difference is the weather. It is nice to be in 80 degree weather, but it can start to get overwhelming at times. Also, if you are in Aruba you can’t go skiing or try out the new cute long sleeved tops you got. Speaking of weather, it is cold here in Paris!

Another difference is the language. Right now our family is learning Spanish on Duolingo. It is cool to hear people speak in different languages every once in awhile. In Aruba they speak Dutch and Papiamento. In Barcelona the people speak Spanish. In London they speak English, and in Paris they speak French – the love language 😘!

One more difference is the way they dress. In the US when you walk around you see people in casual clothes like sweatpants and hoodies. But they dress very nicely in London and Paris. They wear lots of trench coats in London. In Paris believe it or not they wear berets. You would not catch many people in London wearing sweatpants.

OK, so transportation is not very different from USA – or it is not very different if you live in a city. In London and Paris they use trains, busses, and bikes. In London you can’t go around a corner without seeing a double decker bus. In Aruba it is very different. Aruba is island so you can’t take the subway and there is not a lot of buses. The best way to get around the island is by taxi. Also Aruba has a form of night transportation – party busses🎉 ✨. I have never been on one because you have to be eighteen and older to go on one. What I think is so cool is that they have bike lanes in London and Paris! So many people bike here, it is so cool! Also in London they drive on the left side of the road! They drive on the left side because of some deep history in the middle ages.

Some smaller differences to wrap this up is that people in Paris will dine for up to three hours or longer! In Paris they take all the time they need with no rush. Eating is family time! Another difference is that a lot more people smoke and vape here, I have no clue why but they just do.

I hope that you guys liked this post! I will definitely write another post like this in the future.
